Date/Time: Aug 8, 2015 - Aug 21, 2015, all day
Location: Ekuthuleni
Silent Meditation Retreat, 8 – 13 August, 2015
Ekuthuleni Work Retreat, 15 – 21 August, 2015
An opportunity to work and practice among the oak woodlands of the Pyrenean foothills, at a retreat centre called Ekuthuleni. To support the creation of a centre for sensitive spiritual living. A chance to learn ecological building skills of straw bale walls and mud plastering.
The work retreat will include working mindfully, sometimes silently and at other times with communication. In this way we hope to support connectivity within and without. There will also be time for formal silent meditation practice, group discussions and informal conversations.
The work retreat will be preceded by a silent meditation retreat. A time for resting into the nature around us and within. You are welcome to come to either one or to do both.
We will be living and working as a community with the goal to live gently on the earth. While there we will be helping to build an indoor meditation space so that the possibility of practice can extend to take place year round.
On this retreat we will be staying in and working at Ekuthuleni. A community with the aim to live simply and look into what nature brings. Living so simply with few distractions, brings us into deeper contact with ourselves.
We wish to share a time of simplicity on the journey of deepening connection to ourselves and the environment.
The retreat will be facilitated by Zohar Lavie and Nathan Glyde.
