The Oaktown Music Festival is sponsoring an online song and video contest for songwriters and bands based in Earthville’s US hometown of Oakland, CA. Winners will be crowned Best of Oakland by an all-star jury, receive a paid feature at a the two night Winners’ Concert at Awaken Cafe, and have a chance to win studio time at Fantasty Studios, an award-winning Bay Area studio for high profile bands like Santana, Isaac Hayes, and many more. The Judges will pick winners from a list of nominations submitted by the public until October 1st. During this nomination period, anyone can submit songs or videos by independent, Oakland based bands.

Earthville Music recording artist Scarth Locke has just produced a creative new music video that has been nominated for the festival, and he needs more public nominations to make the cut.
